Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Thai Everyday, published by Julien Montagne as an individual. Using the app means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where the two differ, these terms apply between you and the publisher.
What Thai Everyday is
An iOS app for learning Thai one word a day. Each word comes with its Thai script, romanization, translation and description, read aloud by the iPhone's voice. The app also offers practice modes, alphabet tracing, a streak, reminders, and home screen and lock screen widgets.
What it is not
It is not a certified language course and does not lead to any qualification. Translations, romanization and descriptions are prepared with care but may contain mistakes, and the pronunciation comes from a synthetic voice that can be imperfect, including on Thai tones. Do not rely on the app where a mistake would matter, such as medical, legal or safety situations.
The subscription
Thai Everyday is a paid app. After the introduction, using it requires an active free trial or subscription, sold through your Apple ID as an auto-renewing subscription. Two plans are offered:
- Annual, with a 7-day free trial the first time you subscribe.
- Monthly, charged from the day you take it, without a trial.
The price of each plan, in your local currency, is shown on the subscription screen before you confirm. The app may also offer the annual plan at a reduced price. That offer is a separate annual subscription, with the same free trial if you have not had one, and it renews every year at the reduced price shown before you confirm.
Payment is taken by Apple when you confirm, or at the end of the free trial if you started one. The subscription renews automatically at the same length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before that moment.
A free trial is offered once per Apple ID across all plans. If you have already had one, the subscription screen says so and charges you from the first day. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Cancelling is done with Apple, not with us: in iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Thai Everyday, then Cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the end of the period already paid for. Cancelling before the last day of the trial means nothing is charged. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are Apple's to give, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them.
If the price changes, Apple informs you before the next renewal and, where the law or Apple's rules require it, asks for your agreement. If you do not agree, the subscription stops instead of renewing.
Who owns what
The word selection, translations, descriptions, alphabet lessons, illustrations, name and design of Thai Everyday belong to the publisher or are used under licence. Your subscription is a personal licence to use them in the app, not a transfer of anything. Do not copy or republish them.
What you create stays yours. The letters you trace and your favourites are yours, and we claim no right over them.
Using the app reasonably
Do not try to break, reverse engineer or overload the app or its server, or to obtain Premium access without paying for it.
No warranty, and the limit of what we owe
The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be free of faults, always available, or fit for a purpose you have in mind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be removed.
Ending it
You may stop using Thai Everyday at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and a material change is announced in the app before it applies.
Law
These terms are governed by French law, without preventing you from relying on the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
